Sunday7th Blessing of the Animals St. Paul Lutheran Church, 50 East Plumstead Avenue, invites all pets to bring their humans to a Blessing of the Animals at 4 p.m. Join Christians everywhere in this ritual remembering St. Francis, patron saint of animals and ecology.
 
Philadelphia Boys' Choir Charity Concert at the Garden Church in Lansdowne. The internationally renown Philadelphia Boys' Choir and Chorale will hold a benefit concert to support the children's charity Epiphany House. Scheduled for 6:00 pm, the "Around the World and Back" concert will deliver a night of uplifting songs from Europe, Asia, Central America, and Africa and will be preceded by a light refreshment reception. Epiphany House, based in Lansdowne, is a non-profit organization that believes no child should ever be rejected or unloved. Through foster care, adoption, and community outreach Epiphany House meets the needs of vulnerable children. Admission is $35 per ticket.

Saturday13th Lansdowne Farmers Market Fall Festival - Looking for something to do with the family this Saturday, October 13th? Lansdowne has the answer: the Lansdowne Farmers Market Fall Festival. The fun starts at the Farmers Market with pumpkin painting and dance performances, the artist and musician of the week, information tables for community organizations and businesses, and, of course, all the fresh local produce you can carry. The Festival continues throughout the Lansdowne Central Business District, where participating merchants will have activities for all ages. You can make a bracelet, have your face painted, take a swing at a piñata, race to wrap a mummy, and more. Events taking place at the Market will be held between 9 AM and 1 PM, but local merchants will be keeping the fun going until 3 PM. Pick up a full list of activities and participating businesses at the Market. The Lansdowne Farmers Market is presented by the Lansdowne Economic Corporation. Countywide Homebuyer Fair - at First African Baptist Church in Sharon Hill from 9 am - 1 pm. The Homeownership Fair is an opportunity for residents, developers, realtors, local businessmen, non-profit organizations, bankers, and others to participate in the improvement of homeownership opportunities for Delaware County residents.

Jabberwockey Books will provide the annual Book Fair, benefiting the school library.  Available for immediate purchase will be a full array of tasteful and interesting children's books. Animal Friends of Lansdowne 2nd Annual Dog Walk at Hoffman Park Pavilion on Scottdale Road in Lansdowne from 10 am to 1 pm. Rain date is 10/14/2007. Pre-registration is $20 and walk-up registration is $25. There will be food, prizes, and a pet talent show. Saturday20th Open Mic Night on October 20 Musicians, comedians, jugglers, poets, family-oriented performers of any talent are welcome to show off at Open Mic Night at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 50 East Plumstead Avenue. Spectators are welcome to enjoy the show!
Sign-ups for performers begin at 6:15 p.m. and the show will start at 7.
Admission is a non-perishable food item or $2. Light refreshments will be sold. Proceeds will benefit the Interfaith Food Cupboard of Eastern Delaware County.
