Water Symposium - A Family Science Inquiry Bring family and friends to the
Lansdowne Friends School from 1 - 3 pm, for a fun and fascinating look into the role of water in our lives.
Experience hands-on how water relates to weather, global warming, and pollution/run off. Learn
about aquatic environments, how watersheds are formed, and explorations of both salt and fresh
water. Join Lansdowne Friends School, the Center for Science in Society of Bryn Mawr College,
and Darby Creek Watershed Association in what promises to be a wet and wonderful day no matter
what the weather — there will be activities! for all ages! Lansdowne Friends School is located

Lansdowne Friends School Presents: Rick Foster, Co-author of “Choosing
Brilliant Health” With his third book, Choosing Brilliant Health, due to
be distributed on May 6th, co-author Rick Foster will speak on health, happiness, families and
how to raise happier kids, and present information to you in a workshop environment at
Lansdowne Friends Meeting on Tuesday, May 27th, from 7-8 pm. He is prepared to take
your questions afterwards! His other books with co-author Greg Hicks include How We

Ratatouille The Lansdowne Parks and Recreation Dept. will sponsor a showing
of the animated feature Ratatouille at Hoffman Park. Pre show begins at 7:45pm and the
movie will begin at 8:00pm. Refreshments will be available at the concession stand.
