Borough Council Committees
Finance - Ms. Lustgarten (Chair), Ms. Coleman, and Mr. Smith. Focus includes budgets, tax rates, insurance, employee programs and process.
Public Safety - Ms. Coleman (Chair), Ms. Silzle and Mr. Urban. Focus includes developing a comprehensive program of safety and crime prevention for the Borough and monitoring police protection.
Economic Development - Mr. Wagner (Chair), Ms. Coleman and Ms. Silzle. Focus includes economic development, the LEDC and other entities, coordinating approval processes, standards for the HARB and dealing with code issues.
Environment - Ms. Silzle (Chair), Ms. Lustgarten and Mr. Wagner. Focus includes environmental goals and measures, storm and sewer water outflow, purchasing renewable energy, shade trees.
Education - Mr. Urban (Chair) and Ms. Lustgarten. Focus includes alternative methods for electing School Board members, creating recreation programs with a broader appeal and implementaion of the multi municipal parks plan.
Infrastructure - Mr. Smith (Chair), Mr. Wagner and Mr. Urban. Focus includes developing and documenting sewer and road maintenance, utilizing in-house personnel for public works projects to realize cost savings.
