    Description: Lansdowne Public Library’s Book Discussion Group is discussing the Russian novel War and Peace in three meetings of the group, on Thursday, August 12, Thursday, September 9, and Thursday, October 14, at 7:30 pm in the library’s Bany Room.


    Dr. Barbara Norton, Professor of History at Widener University and a scholar of Russian history, will present “War and Peace: Tolstoy’s Portrait of Russian Society in the Napoleonic Era.”

    The Arts Festival is a rain or shine event. Musical performances are held under a huge tent while art exhibits and other performing artists are inside the Twentieth Century Club. The entire borough of Lansdowne is brimming with activity the entire weekend, including Saturday's Lansdowne Farmers Market, another rain or shine event that takes place just up the street from the Arts Festival.
