Lansdowne Borough is very excited that we are able to bring the parade back this year. This event has taken place for over 100 years in Lansdowne.
Lansdowne Borough is very excited that we are able to bring the parade back this year. This event has taken place for over 100 years in Lansdowne.
Due to the 4th falling on a Sunday THE PARADE WILL BE HELD ON JULY 3RD with a rain date of Monday July 5th.
The parade start time is at 9am. Formation time is 8:30 on East Greenwood Avenue.
We are cautiously optimistic that we can have this event and still keep everyone safe so MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL PARADE PARTICIPANTS AND SPECTATORS. We are hoping everyone will be mindful of their neighbors and continue to social distance.
FIREWORKS- Regretfully the fireworks have been cancelled this year. Due to COVID and social distancing it is cost prohibitive to have the event at this time.
In the past the parade expenses along with the fireworks display costs have been sponsored by the Lansdowne Union Athletic Assoc. This group has been disbanded due to lack of volunteers and funds. (Funds were raised to pay for these events through door to door collections and local business contributions.) Thank you to Borough Council and the Borough employees for allowing this wonderful tradition to continue in Lansdowne.
