[ARCHIVED] August 16 Letter From Mayor Campuzano

Dear Lansdowne Residents,

Here in Lansdowne we just recently had a Covid-19 testing event.  It was held for three days at the Highland Ave parking lot.  Almost 200 people were tested. That number would have been more; however, the bad weather affected two of those days.  I want to thank Delaware County Intercommunity Health and all of their volunteers for conducting the testing.  I also want to thank the Fire Company for making the Fire Company building available to the volunteers.  I hope our residents found this to be helpful and took advantage of it.  If you were not able to and still want to be tested they are holding testing at Interboro High School the week of August 17th and in Aldan Borough the week of August 24th.  Once I get the dates and times for both, we will put it up on our website.  Remember we still need to wear a mask, wash our hands and practice social distancing. I know it is getting old and annoying but it is for the best for all of us.

I’m happy to announce an event that has not been cancelled.  We have scheduled a shredding event on Saturday Oct17th from 9:00 to 12:00 at the Highland Ave parking lot.

I’m sure since the pandemic has started, a lot of you have done a lot of cleaning out and have a lot of paperwork that  you would like to get rid of.  I want to thank Mayor John Dukes from East Lansdowne and their borough council for teaming up with us again in sponsoring this event.  I know some people will ask about electronics. We are looking into it but the cost of them are a factor right now. If we add electronics we will let you know.  I hope you take advantage of this event.

I continue to urge you, if you haven’t already to fill out the 2020 Census.  It is very important for us here in Lansdowne especially now with the way this year is playing out.

Please remember all of our local businesses.  Unfortunately a few have closed due to the pandemic.  We need to do what we can and support our local businesses so that we can have our downtown moving in the right direction.

Stay Safe

Thank you

See you around town

Mayor Tony
