Mayor Tony Campuzano and Lansdowne Borough Council President Benjamin Hover and Vice President Magda Byrne celebrate the groundbreaking of the Gateway Slope project into Lansdowne. Also, joining Council and the Mayor are Craig Totaro, the Borough Manager, and Kevin Matson, Borough Engineer. The project continues the vision of Lansdowne as a community that preserves Open Space, Develops Green Space, and provides recreational opportunities for residents to bike and walk in our neighborhoods and in our parks. Also, the entryway park will provide a beautiful new sign coming into Lansdowne.
The completion of this project is possible through grants from the DCNR and Commonwealth Financing Multimodal Transportation Fund. The two grants supported a $600,000 investment in green walkways in Lansdowne.
Thanks to Carol Martsolf and Elliot Borgman for taking pictures at the Groundbreaking ceremony!
