Gateway Slope Notes #49 - “Construction of Entryway Steps”: These pictures show the backhoe lifting the modular pieces of the retaining walls and putting them in place. At approximately a 45-degree angle to the corner of Baltimore and Scottdale, there will be steps (there will be an ADA ramp as well). You can see in the picture, the construction of thesteps in progress. There should be more to show later today! #GatewaySlopeNotes

Gateway Slope Notes #48 - Keeping Up With Progress! : You can see more progress on building the retaining walls and the “Welcome to Lansdowne” sign. It’s neat to see the backhoe pick up the pre-cast retainin
g wall pieces! This is an important time as the retaining wall foundations need to be placed with care and attention since all other work builds on that. Soon the steps will be put in! #GatewaySlopeNotes
Gateway Slope Notes #47 - More Progress! : The Welcome to Lansdowne sign is taking shape, and the trenches for the retaining walls are progressing. Stay tuned for more! #GatewaySlopeNotes
Gateway Slope Notes # 46: We’re back!! No progress for quite some time is now turning around to action! Let’s take a look!
1. See the photo with the metal rods protruding from the ground. Those are called rebar and concrete is going to be poured there. Can you guess what it is going to be? It will be the “Welcome to Lansdowne” sign!
2. So much construction staging going on in the adjacent parking lot. This is the stone for the retaining wall foundations.
3. The trenches for the retaining wall foundations are being dug. You can see the stone for the leveling pads.
More to come! Stay tuned!
