The recently enacted 2022 Lansdowne Borough budget reduces real estate tax by 5% to 7.3039 mills. For the median assessed property value of $146,000 the Borough real estate tax is $1,066. The 2022 tax bill mailed on or about February 1st also includes trash and sewer fees. The 2022 annual trash fee will increase $20 for each housing unit from $343 to $363. The purpose of the increase is to offset the increase per-ton fee charged by the Delaware County Solid Waste Authority to receive trash material from the Borough from $58 per ton to $78. The 2022 sewer fee remains unchanged from 2021 at $7.52 per 1,000 gallons and the Borough will not pass through, a 12% increase in fees charged by the sewage treatment facility to treat flow volumes. In 2022 the earned income (wage) tax of ½ of 1 percent (.05%) will remain unchanged.

Borough taxes and fees are mailed on or about February 1st of each year. Taxes and fees paid before March 31st are discounted 2%. Taxes and fees paid after May 31st are subject to a 10% penalty.
