Greetings Lansdowne Residents!
I hope that these first few months of 2022 have been good to you. This year has definitely been busy for me as I acclimate to my new role as Mayor. As your new Mayor, I have several ideas and goals that I would like to work towards in my term, and I would like to share some of them with all of you.
One of the most important things to me as not only an elected official, but also as a resident , is communication. I want to make sure that you know that I am always happy to hear from you about any of your concerns, questions, or experiences – even if we might not agree. I would like to know both your concerns or what you love about Lansdowne. Please feel free to email me at byrnem@lansdowneborough.com and let’s talk!
Another goal that I would like to work on is education. Working as an elected official is not always as easy as it seems sometimes. Although it may be frustrating at times for us, I know it must be even more frustrating for you as residents waiting for things to happen. In the future, I would like to begin the Mayor’s Forums again. This time, I would like to have it in smaller settings so that we can really talk about processes, how we fund projects, resources available to you, upcoming improvements, how to find information, taxes and more.
Lastly, I would like to work at building better relationships with our neighboring towns that surround Lansdowne. Many of the towns around us are just as small as us and the decisions we make affect each other. Working together always makes us stronger!
Thank you for taking the time to read my first Mayor’s letter. I hope this helped you get to know me a little better. I promise to get better at these. In the meantime, please stay safe and mask up and I will see you around town!
